It’s hard to imagine - back 9 years ago when we were “pitching” a Flower Show to Public Education Television- that we’d be here today - Celebrating 100 Episodes of “J Schwanke’s Life in Bloom” - telecasting to over 115 Million Households each week- in Every State- All Across the USA on Hundreds of Local PBS Stations- and in Hundreds of Cities… Life in Bloom is a wonderful Success Story… and it’s all because of YOU- the people that tune in, watch, write and enjoy Flowers in your Life!
This Show includes special messages from Viewers - that have shared how Special and Meaningful- Life in Bloom is to them… It’s something we never expected- and it’s far reaching- and really tremendously moving… I wanted to include these notes- as well as the 1000s of Pictures we’ve received from our viewers sharing what they created… I’m so amazed and incredibly grateful that we’ve been able to connect with millions of people- sharing the simple of LOVE and KINDNESS with Flowers… The Connections we’ve made are the Magic behind our Flower Lifestyle show… THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Kel and I started this “Little Flower Show” as we humbly call it… and something special hit the hearts of Millions of People- that wanted to relax- unwind, chill out… zen out… and get a little dose of Comfort and Joy- with the help of flowers. It’s magical … and at the same time- it’s healthy and beneficial to live a Life in Bloom surrounded by flowers… inside and outside!

We are SO INCREDIBLY Fortunate- to have a wonderful Friend- Kameel Chamelly- You met his amazing Daughter Ilana-from Martha’s Vineyard in Grand Rapids… in Episode #612- Won’t You be My Neighbor! Kameel provided a wonderful Location- 623 Venue and Events… (You can follow them on Instagram here!) for us to hold our 100th Episode Celebration… we had an amazing Cake- from Nantucket Bakery- (You can follow them on Instagram here!)and had Ice Cream- and Champagne of Course… with an amazing group of friends- that have appeared on “Life in Bloom” - it was like a little reunion of sorts… and Kel and I had the most amazing time.
I created a Bouquet of 100 Flowers- just for the occasion- and also had beautiful Locally Grown Flowers- from our Friends at Idelwild Farm- you will meet them in Episode 812- Heather, Adah and Rueben- brought flowers they grew and helped us arrange them into centerpieces for the tables- that everyone got to take home… I love sending people home with Flowers… Thanks to our Idlewild Farm Friends!

One of my favorite parts of “Life in Bloom” is the Flower Crowns- I started making them years ago- and I just love how a flower crown will make anyone smile and laugh… so what better way to celebrate 100 Episodes than with 100 Flower Crowns… it was a little challenge to get them all into a segment for this show- but Chris did an amazing job… and to make the 100- I added a couple of special flower crowns… as a tribute to my wonderful Friend Pat… It makes it even more Special! Thanks for Memories my Friend!
It wouldn’t be a party without our Life in Bloom Production Company- FulVew Productions - Chris and Keith and their families that have been on the show… including Keith’s Mom Kathy- that allows us to use her beautiful White Kitchen in our shows… Emily, Zoe, Doc and Millie (and Laura) are on hand too- as they have been great guests on the show too… When you create 100 Episodes- it’s a REALLY BIG DEAL- and I couldn’t have done it without Chris and Keith…Special Thanks to these great guys- You two help us make magic all the time!
